Catharina comes to us from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil via Fort Myers. Formerly a NICU nurse, the positive experience with her own nurse-midwife led her to become one herself. She attended Frontier Nursing University, one of the nation’s first and oldest graduate programs for nurse-midwives. There, she earned her Master’s degree and qualified as a Certified Nurse Midwife. Following the philosophy of that program, she is dedicated to empowering women in their healthcare and birth experience. Having practiced in Georgia and South Florida, she is now excited to be a part of GOA’s excellent team.
